Benjamin Widener, MD, completed a Fellowship in Rheumatology at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) in Omaha, Nebraska, and has returned to his hometown of Sheridan to continue serving the community and surrounding region. He is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine In Internal Medicine and In Rheumatology. As a medical specialty, Rheumatology will focus on diagnosing and treating persons with: Rheumatoid arthritis Gout Lupus Psoriatic arthritis Ankylosing spondylitis As well as many other inflammatory and autoimmune diseases that affect the body’s musculoskeletal system including joints, muscles, tendons and ligaments.
