The UNC School of Medicine’s Department of Neurology provides the neurological expertise to support the school’s three-part mission of providing leadership and excellence in the areas of patient care, education and research. The department offers services from more than 50 neurologists with broad subspecialty representation in epilepsy, general neurology, memory and cognitive disorders, movement disorders, multiple sclerosis and neuroimmunology, neuromuscular diseases, sleep disorders, stroke and vascular neurology, headache, neurocritical care, and pediatric neurological disorders.
