Kathleen M Elder is a IAOM Board Certified Orofacial Myofunctional Therapist. She opened Digits and Spots Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy LLC in 2003. As a COM, Kathleen provides treatment to improve the muscle balance & tonicity of the orofacial musculature that leads to the establishment of correct functional activities of the tongue, lips & mandible. Programs, available for all ages, include treatment of parafunctional oral habits (digit/tongue sucking, nail biting, lips/cheek biting), tongue thrust/open mouth breathing posture, frenula (tongue, lips and buccal) care pre and post procedural release, TMJ related dysfunction (TMD), and airway/sleep/posture related issues.
