Valerie Thomas, MD, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician in Tavares. She graduated from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham and completed her pediatric residency at Wake Forest University School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, NC. Dr Thomas is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. She provides general pediatric care for infants, children and adolescents. She also serves as the team physician for the Lake Sumter State College athletic program.
