The OMNI Healthcare Center for Osteoporosis Care was developed in order to help prevent and treat osteoporosis, a disease that gradually weakens bones, causing them to become brittle and prone to fractures. The center boasts a Fracture Prevention Program, the only one of its kind in Brevard, that is designed to help strengthen posture and muscles, which in turn helps to prevent compression fractures and reduces the risk of falling. The center also has the latest in bone density measuring machines, the Dexa Scan. This specialized machine can detect osteoporosis before a fracture occurs.
