Patients may visit JCE for colonoscopy, a routine colon cancer screening test. Colon Cancer Screening is easier than you think and one of the best ways to prevent and detect colon cancer. Your physician will recommend one of the following: FOBT (Fecal Occult Blood Test), Flexible Sigmoidoscopy, Colonoscopy, Barium Enema with Air Contrast or a Virtual Colonoscopy. These tests are recommended by American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy for colon cancer screening. Colorectal cancer is highly preventable with regular colon cancer screening.
