About Dr. Jimmy Tamai The goal of board-certified orthopedic surgeon Jimmy M. Tamai, MD and the team at Orthopaedic Surgical Associates, LLC is to provide high-quality orthopedic surgery and integrative pain management to men, women, and families living in and around Fairbanks, Alaska. Dr. Tamai began his professional pursuits at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where he earned his undergraduate degree in chemistry. He subsequently enrolled at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and obtained his Doctor of Medicine. Afterward, Dr. Tamai completed an internship at St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois, followed by a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.
